Duet was honestly one of the biggest surprises for me during this round of fragrance testing.
Going into it, I really didn't know what to expect, but from the very first spray I immediately thought, oh, I actually really like this.
This scent has such a clean, polished, and balanced feel that made it instantly easy to wear.
It doesn't lean overly floral, overly sweet, or too heavy, which is probably why it stood out to me so much.
Sometimes with fragrance testing, there are perfumes that smell beautiful but don't necessarily feel like something I would personally reach for again.
Duet was the opposite.
This one immediately felt like something I could see myself wearing on a regular basis.
It has that fresh, feminine, everyday luxury feel that works beautifully for daytime wear.
The opening feels bright and clean, and as it settles on the skin it becomes softer and more refined.
For me, this is the kind of perfume that works for workdays, lunch dates, errands, casual outings, and even everyday signature scent territory.
It feels polished without trying too hard.
I also really loved that it stayed balanced throughout the day and never became too strong or overwhelming.
This was one of the easiest fragrances for me to wear from the entire lineup.
One thing I always love testing is how perfumes layer with lotions because that can completely change both the longevity and the overall vibe.
For Duet, my favorite lotion pairings are EOS Fresh & Cozy, L'Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate, and Salt & Stone Bergamot & Hinoki.
The EOS pairing keeps it soft and fresh, while the Almond Milk adds a more luxurious skin-scent finish.
Salt & Stone makes it feel a little more elevated and modern.

A fun fact about Sam Edelman is that the brand is widely known for fashion, footwear, and accessories, so it was really fun to see how that polished aesthetic translated into fragrance.
Another thing I really liked is that the scent itself feels very in line with the brand — modern, wearable, and stylish without feeling overcomplicated.
This fragrance was part of my wear-test lineup for the week, where I spent several days testing different scents to see how they evolved on the skin, how long they lasted, and which ones truly stood out.
