Week 2 of perfume testing gave me another really interesting mix of scents, and this week definitely confirmed that I know what I like — and what I don't.

I'm learning that anything too rose-heavy or overly floral tends to feel a little too mature or strong for my personal style, while balanced fresh scents and warm modern fragrances are much more my vibe.

This week had a few misses for me, but there were also some scents that pleasantly surprised me and a couple I would absolutely wear again.

Here's my honest review of each one.

Idôle Peach & Roses by Lancôme

This one unfortunately was not a favorite for me.

The rose note came through immediately, and while it does have a pretty polished scent profile, it leaned more mature than what I usually reach for. On my skin, it felt much more floral-forward than fruity.

My review: I didn't really care for this one. It smelled mostly like roses and felt more like a mature scent.

Best time to wear: afternoon, dressier daytime events, and spring evenings.

Scent wear: around 6 to 8 hours.

Pairs well with: rose body cream, soft vanilla lotion, or powdery musk spray.

Fun fact: Lancôme is known for elegant floral fragrances, and the Idôle line is one of their most recognizable modern perfume collections.

Duet by Sam Edelman

This one was a really nice surprise.

It felt clean, wearable, and very balanced without leaning too floral or too sweet. This was one of those scents that I could see myself reaching for regularly.

It gave me a polished everyday feel that still felt feminine.

My review: Really nice. I would definitely wear this again.

Best time to wear: daytime, work, lunch, or everyday errands.

Scent wear: around 5 to 7 hours.

Pairs well with: clean skin lotion, white musk body mist, or light vanilla cream.

Fun fact: Sam Edelman is widely known for fashion and accessories, so it was fun to try a fragrance from the brand.

My Way by Giorgio Armani

This one was better than I expected.

It definitely came off a little strong at first spray, but once it settled down, it became much more wearable. It has that elevated designer fragrance feel and definitely lasts.

I think this would be beautiful for evening wear or when you want something a little more noticeable.

My review: Better than expected, but a little strong.

Best time to wear: evening, dinner, date night, or events.

Scent wear: around 7 to 10 hours.

Pairs well with: vanilla lotion, amber body oil, or a warm floral body mist.

Fun fact: Giorgio Armani created My Way as a fragrance inspired by experiences, travel, and discovery.

Flowerbomb by Viktor&Rolf

This one was definitely too floral for me.

I know this is such a popular perfume, but on me it felt very strong and overwhelmingly floral. If you love bold floral perfumes, this could absolutely be a favorite, but it just wasn't my personal style.

My review: Way too floral smelling and very strong.

Best time to wear: evening, cooler weather, special occasions.

Scent wear: easily 8+ hours.

Pairs well with: jasmine lotion, floral body cream, and powdery musk scents.

Fun fact: Flowerbomb is one of the most iconic floral designer perfumes and has been a bestseller for years.

Cosmic 2.0 by Kylie Cosmetics

This one ended up being one of my favorites this week.

I really liked the scent profile — it felt modern, feminine, and easy to wear. It had a nice balanced sweetness without being too floral.

The only downside for me was that it didn't stay on overnight.

My review: Really liked this one and would wear it again, but it didn't last overnight.

Best time to wear: daytime, evening out, and everyday wear.

Scent wear: around 4 to 6 hours.

Pairs well with: soft vanilla lotion, clean musk mist, and warm skin scents.

Fun fact: Kylie Cosmetics expanded into fragrance with the Cosmic line, bringing a modern beauty-brand feel into perfume.

Final Thoughts

This week really confirmed that I prefer fresh, balanced, and slightly warm scents over strong floral perfumes.

My favorites from Week 2 were Duet, Cosmic 2.0, and My Way.

The biggest surprise for me was My Way because I ended up liking it much more than I expected once it settled.
